Emergency School Closure
Thanks to all staff, students and their parents as well as the staff of the Expo Center for a very effective and efficient emergency operation. This morning upon arriving at school we noticed an issue with our propane - lack of pressure and an odor on the south parking lot. Maintenance staff determined that a regulator was defective and there was a substantial amount of propane venting into the air. A call to our propane supplier determined that a replacement part could not be found within 24 hours and that even after the appropriate repairs were made a thorough inspection of interior appliances would have to be made. As a result, I elected to close school for the two days and cancel all school activities until Monday, December 12. The board meeting that was scheduled for tonight will be held Monday, December 12th at 5:30. The status of today's and Friday's ballgames has yet to be determined. Thanks to all again for your cooperation in making this a smooth operation to protect the safety of our students and staff.
