Special Services


Child Find Notice

Child find is a component of Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and is an ongoing process of locating, identifying, and evaluating children ages 3-16. It is Tannehill School’s intent to find students who may be in need of special education and related services. Special education services are free of charge for students who meet eligibility for one of the following categories:

  • Autism
  • Deaf/Blindness
  • Deafness/Hearing Impairment
  • Developmental Delay
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Specific Learning Disability
  • Multiple Disabilities
  • Orthopedic Impairment
  • Other Health Impairment
  • Emotional Disturbance
  • Speech or Language Impairment
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Visual Impairment

A full continuum of services is available which may be provided in general education classrooms with support, special classes, the home, or other educational environments.
